New York Univeristy

Founded in 1831, New York University is the largest private university in the United States. The University, which is composed of 14 schools, colleges, and divisions, occupies five major centers in Manhattan. It operates branch campus and research programs in other parts of the United States and abroad, as well as study abroad programs in more than 25 countries. New York University is also one of the largest employers in New York City, with over 16,000 employees.

From its founding in 1831, academic excellence has been the hallmark of New York University, one of the foremost research and teaching universities in the United States. NYU offers its students an exceptional curriculum and dynamic learning and mentoring experiences with an award-winning, professionally renowned faculty.
NYU is comprised of 14 schools, eight of which award undergraduate degrees.

For freshmen applicants, March is a "wait and see" month. In the admissions office, we are busy finalizing admissions decisions, and all decisions will be mailed during the last week of March so as to arrive on or about April 1st. All notification for US postal addresses is by mail; we provide admissions decisions electronically only to students outside the United States.For transfer students, please note that the transfer application deadline is April 1st.
